Some basics: Asbestos fibers were found years ago to be associated with a particular form of lung cancer after they were inhaled over time. They have not been used in new construction in decades but may be found in old homes. Renovations without proper care could release fibers into the air. If they are intact/covered in old construction they are not a risk. They are not going to cause reproductive cancers.
