Vulvar cancer is not painful or irritating; and yes, there would be a visible tumor. And since almost all vulvar cancer is due to sexually acquired human papillomavirus, as a virgin you are not at risk. See your doctor if the pain persists, but cancer is an unlikely explanation. Good luck.
