A member asked:

Which tests are necessary to test for kidney function?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Kidney function: The common blood tests to check kidney function are the BUN, serum creatinine and glomerular filtration rate. Urinalysis is also important. These are the basics and are sufficient to screen kidney function although there are other more specialized tests including xrays, ct scans, ultrasound, etc.
