Yes: If you have been on depo for a long time, the lining of the uterus is fairly thinned, and it may take some time for estrogen, which increases after ovulation, to rebuild the lining enough to have a period after going off the shot, even after ovulaton. To get pregnant after stopping depo usually takes 6-9 months, but can take as long at 18-24 months.
