Car accident in may dx w whiplash. back 2 dr last week. extreme pain in l2. xray said "vertabral hight & intravertabral distance maintained, pt likely leaning 2 the side. no fractures identified" what does he mean re leaning, do i need more tests?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Need more info: The leaning of L2 may be a consequence of your car accident. If you are experiencing severe pian, paresthesia ( an abnormal dermal sensation (e.g., a tingling, pricking, chilling, burning, or numb sensation on the skin) with no apparent physical cause) decreased strength in your legs, and/ or decreased sensibility you might need to get a MRI test.
