Probably no risk: Most genital herpes is caused by HSV2, which usually is genital only, without oral infection. If you have genital HSV1, you could also have oral herpes. However, oral sex in absencxe of a cold sore outbreak usually is safe. If you don't know which type you have, see an STD expert for testing to find out. Concoms and taking an anti-herpes drug like valacyclovir is effective prevention for partners.
