I donate plasma, my plasma was tested for stds and came back inconclusive. what would cause this? i had bloodwork done 2 months prior in may 2019 and my results were negative and i havent been sexually active since march 2019.

Technical issue: When a report comes back inconclusive it means just that. It failed to reach the endpoint where the result(s) could be interpreted. This may have effected a batch or just one test. The sample submitted may have been compromised. Testing a new sample later would be the next step.

Confirmatory test: Blood donation centers do screening tests that have higher incidence of false positive results. Ask your doctor to get a confirmatory test.
