Hard to say: Without a review of all data and exam it is hard to speculate on what would be a reasonable management. If the 1st doc was not helpful find another & get a 2nd opinion. In the short term sometimes a heating pad held over the focus of discomfort tricks the brain into recognizing the warmth rather than pain.

Second opinion: You may upload his records and discuss with one of the HT specialists online. There are treatments available for EOE. In addition, if the pain is severe, please see the Emergency Department for pain management and evaluation.
