Sedation: There are many different Mucinex products but no "extra strength". If you just took plain Mucinex (guaifenesin) there should not be a significant interaction. But if you took something like Mucinex Fast-Max Severe Congestion & Cough , it contains dextromethorphan. That combination can lead to sedation, dizziness & decreased concentration. If that is the case, don't operate vehicle or dangerous
