Side effects: Abnormal dreams occur in 1 to 10% of people taking Duloxetine. I am not aware of any methods for combating vivid dreams. However, there are many SSRI's (selective serotonin reuptake inhibitors) that could be used in place of the Duloxeine in the treatment of anxiety. Discuss with your provider, if the vivid dreaming is too disturbing for you.
