9w pregnant ?'s: Brown discharge is oxidized blood, and may occur if the placenta is not producing the same progesterone amount that the ovary did prior to cessation of ovarian production of progesterone. Your OB physician may want to start you on oral progesterone especially with your history of prior miscarrage.
