Exam needed: Possibilities include impacted wax, inflammation/infection of the external ear canal or ear drum. Get examined by your physician or an Otolaryngologist for diagnosis and treatment. In the meantime apply warm moist facecloth to the outside of the ear. Do not insert anything into the ear canal.
