D3: Low levels of D3 would be more of a problem. Taking appropriate D3 supplementation should not be a problem for you or the baby.

Yes: There are a couple different considerations that might optimize one’s vitamin D dose like whether a person is deficient in Vitamin D and by how much. But for someone without a Vitamin D deficiency who is pregnant, cholecalciferol 400 IU daily is within the recommended daily allowance - in other words, safe.
