Depends. : Recommendations for empiric treatment, not Knowing which microorganism is causing the infection, ceftriaxone plus doxycycline, however if the physician suspicious of an enteric organism it is recommended the levofloxacin or Ofloxacin. As your dr already prescribed you, he already has the knowledge of whats going on, talk to him before making any change in prescription. All drugs have side effects
