Ginkgo : Several cases of bleeding associated with ginkgo extracts have been reported: combined use of aspirin and ginkgo resulted in spontaneous bleeding into the anterior chamber of the eye , spontaneous bilateral subdural hematoma with a prolonged bleeding time, Chronic left frontal subdural hematoma, Subarachnoid hemorrhage, Bilateral hematoma after rhytidoplasty and blepharoplasty.

It’s possible: Ginkgo use *may* be associated with bleeding events. One review of the literature identified up to 15 cases of bleeding associated with Ginkgo use, some of them serious. For now, the jury is out, but recognize that it’s a possibility. While there isn’t clear guidance, it may make sense for people who have a history of bleeding or other bleeding risk factors to avoid it.
