Possibly.: As the name suggests, these are not true seizures but events that look like seizures. There are many causes but most are behavioral and/or psychiatric in nature. SSRIs (a type of antidepressant) have shown promise in treatment of Pseudoseizures and have been used successfully in some patients, although psychotherapy is the most preferred treatment for this disorder.
