Blood clotting: This is a job for your doctor. It depends on the type of risk for clotting, and if you can be tested for that risk. You do not want to increase your risk for clotting by adding combination (estrogen-progesterone type) oral contraceptives. Please discuss with your gynecologist and be prepared with information on exactly what the propensity for clotting in your family might be.
