Mucus like period: Check urine blood HCG, sometimes the pill does not work. Note sometimes with pills there is a decrease/ack of periods.Also check thyroid, prolactin level and for polycystic ovary syndrome. Discuss w/ doctor the addtional tests and switching ( some people do not mind the lack of period-but note it may take up several months after stopping BC for period to resume due to pituitary supression)

I just got my period 3 days ago after missing my last one and its very heavy with large blood clots? Is this normal? I also just restarted my birth control.
What would cause blood clots or dried blood particles during a period? This is abnormal for me but I did just start taking birth control pills again
