How to treat a dislocated knee?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Probably knee cap: If you truly dislocated your actual knee joint which is the hinge between your femur (thigh) and your tibia (shin) you should go the ER IMMEDIATELY! This is a true emergency. What happens in most cases is that people dislocate their patella or knee cap. It simply slides out if it’s “trough” on the femur. If it goes back the trick is not doing it again. Still need to see a doctor just not EMERGENCY
