Special rule : Sleep apnea is rather unique. It has to have been diagnosed clearly with sleep study while still on active duty. You will not receive va disability if it was diagnosed after military separation or retirmenent.

Sleep Apnea: If sleep apnea was presxisiting and causing cognitive or physical impairments and can be proven so, then there may be some hope other wise usually not.

Sleep Apnea: Documented sleep apnea while in the military does have an assigned disability percentage. It is being reviewed as we speak as the percentage has been deemed excessive by some. Would initiate rating if still in the military, if out of military may speak to va counselor.
