Acne, birth control: Most birth control pills help reduce acne. Acne may get worse in first 6 weeks of starting a pill, but better by 12 weeks.

OCPs: If you can take them, oral contraceptive pills are also indicated for acne, abnormal bleeding, painful cycles, and premenstrual symptoms. Check with your doctor.
