If missed period: and not on effective birth control, then could be pregnant.Get pregnancy test if not sure. If not pregnant, can be normal hormone fluctuations, and prostaglandins from the normal thickened premenstrual uterine lining. Consider effective birth control plan and HPV vaccine series if not already done.
