Fatty liver: Fibrofatty liver in itself is not a cause for thinking about mortality. However, it is a sign of liver problem. Now for people who do have a liver problem physicians use a MELD score. This is a scoring mechanism that take serum creatinine, billirubin and prothrombin time and can give an estimate for mortality in someone with established liver disease.
