Hard to say: The duration of discomfort after an injection will vary with what the shot was for, whether it was the first or later in a series & whether or not the placement hit a nerve or other structure. Local application of a heat source can speed blood flow & recovery but may increase intensity of discomfort. I would report the issue to your doc if it continues.
