Not a hospital issue: This is something you can arrange to see the kids regular doc for. Stool retention is not uncommon & they can decide whether you can manage this at home or need a higher level of care. A simple enema performed correctly can get things moving. You may need help or specific instructions on how to proceed.

I started 7 days ago with Movicol to soften my stool. If i dont drink a laxative i get constipated, and dont poop for 4-6 days. Within those days i will get stabbing pains on my side just above the hip?
