RSV: Respiratory syncytial virus is most often seen from dec to mar but can be seen at any time. More often in premature and the very young <12 weeks old. Can be associated with day care. Most symptoms are fever, runny nose, cough, wheezing trouble breathing and loss of appetite. Any young infant with fever should be evaluated. It could just be a cold but an examination would be best to check.

Nasal breathing : Infants at this age breathe through their noses. Keep the nasal passages clear of mucus, and the cough may improve with nasal saline. Treat fever and please see your Pediatrician. Watch for signs of distress and see the acute care center for respiratory distress.
