Can i go for a flue vaccination when pregnant?

About flu shots...: Doctors recommend that pregnant women get the flu shot to help prevent the seasonal flu. The shot can be given at anytime during pregnancy (any trimester is ok). Also, parents who are protected against the flu are much less likely to transmit flu to their newborn baby.

Yes: There is no reason to avoid the flu vaccine in pregnancy. In fact, there is tremendous need for all pregnant women to be vaccinated to prevent flu since their risk for complications is higher. We lost 2 pregnant moms to complications of the flu in 2009 in my city. The injected is the only form approved in pregnancy.
