Does mono affect the whole body.

Usually: Mono is a systemic infection usually by the EB virus. In childhood it is often indistinguishable from common brief viruses. In adults it usually produces 3 wks of body wide effects. Glandular swelling, discomfort, swelling of the spleen & liver inflammation are common. Some have headaches & other evidence of nervous system involvement. A few will have lingering symptoms for 3 months.
