Middle ear effusion: This is more likely due to inflammation and allergy than an infection, but to cover both bases, I suggest an antibiotic and strong antihistamine at bedtime for 5-10 days for relief. This should be followed by skin or blood testing to find out your allergy triggers to avoid and reduce symptoms in the future
