Heavy period ?'s: If this is abnormal for your past cycles, and pregnancy is possible, get a serum HCG test to make certain about pregnancy, as some pregnancies can occur outside the uterus (ectopic) which can cause this type of bleeding and back pain. If the test is negative, see your gyn physician for a pelvic ultrasound and other testing.
