Cold sores: No kissing baby on face, hands or feet- Cold sore are very contagious & can be dangerous to infants, and babies have feet and hands in mouth.No sharing food or utensils w/baby, dont blow on food and give it to them. For Mom acyclovir or valtrex to heal cold sore. Lysine 500 mg 1-2 tabs a day may prevent . if baby develop fever call peds or go to ER immediately. f/u/ w doc
