"Period pain" ?'s: Severe menstrual pain is usually associated with endometriosis. To preserve potential future fertility, low dose oral bcp's are usually recommended (if there are no contraindications). If fertility issues arise later, consult your gyn physician for appropriate exam and testing, as endometriosis can contribute to infertility.
