Not much to worry: Strictly speaking both your LDL (''Bad cholesterol'') and HDL (''Good cholesterol'') are within the normal parameters. As previously stated, an ideal HDL should be over 40 mg/dL and over 60 mg/dL to be considered cardio-protective. If you want to raise HDL you might consider visiting a nutritionist. At those levels diet and exercise might be enough.

Low hdl: You may be able to raise your hdl with regular exercise,taking omega 3 fish oil, following a Mediterranean diet and, if you smoke, abstaining from tobacco. If you don't abuse it, a moderate amount of red wine daily may also help.
