Period ?'s : Blood flow in periods can seem intermittent b/c clots may block the cervical canal, which provides a "stop/start" pattern of menstrual flow. This is not harmful and does not come from poor hormonal effect on the lining of the uterus. Ask your gyn physician about low dose bcp's if you are not attempting pregnancy. Your periods will be lighter and less tendency to form clots.
