A member asked:

What can teens do to avoid cramps when having period ? except for painkillers

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Define pain killer ?: Non steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs (NSAIDs) are sometimes given to alleviate mild pain. This includes things like aspirin, ibuprofen, naproxin & others. When taken the day before & during menses they target the chemicals that trigger cramps. When used this way they help many avoid or control them.
