Can i take a flu vaccine during pregnancy?

Sounds fine: Doctors recommend that pregnant women get the flu shot to help prevent the seasonal flu. The shot can be given at anytime during pregnancy (any trimester is ok). Pregnant women tend to get worse cases of the flu, compared to women who are not pregnant.

Yes: The live nasal flu vaccine is not recommended at any point during pregnancy. The injected inactivated (killed) flu vaccine is not only safe, it is recommended.Flu is potentially deadly during pregnancy and the inactivated flu injection can help you avoid it. We lost two pregnant ladies to complications of flu in my medium sized town in 2009.
