Early "period" ?: Bleeding prior to a "due period" may represent ovulation, but that is generally scant. If pregnancy is possible, and a full period length of bleeding ensues, ovulation of two eggs simultaneously may have occurred, and the drop in estrogen prior to release of both eggs is exaggerated, with more chance of withdrawal bleeding as described. If no full period occurs, get a serum HCG test.
