A member asked:

What are the dangers of not being checked out by a doctor after a miscarriage? (was 6 weeks pregnant)

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Miscarriage ?: A miscarriage at 6w of pregnancy is usually without complications, but occasionally the miscarriage involves failure of the uterine contractions to expel all placental tissue, and bleeding will continue as well as increased potential for infection. Best to see your gyn physician for an exam if bleeding and fever occur.
