Vaginal fistula ?: A fistula is an opening from rectum to vagina through which fecal material (waste) can flow, since the resistance of the anal sphincter will not allow passive loss of feces, and forceful "pushing" with bowel movements will bypass the rectum and exit via the vagina. See a colo-rectal surgeon for a definitive repair, or the fistula will never heal.
