A member asked:

If your taking aspirin just to help thin your blood then how often should you take it?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Aspirin: Aspirin dose, when being taken as an antiplatelet measure, is 81 mgs once daily. Most people take the enteric coated type to minimize stomach irritation. These aren't as effective during the acute phase of a heart attack as they don't dissolve as fast as a regular(noncoated) aspirin.
