Thrush/Yeast/Invasiv: Candidiasis is a fungal infection which is caused by yeasts that belong to the genus Candida. Candidiasis which develops in the mouth or throat is called “thrush” or oropharyngeal candidiasis. Candidiasis which occurs in the vagina is called a “yeast infection.” Invasive candidiasis is seen when Candida species enter the bloodstream & spread throughout the body.
