A member asked:

Would a pregnancy test be accurate 16 days after intercourse? irregular periods

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Possibly: If you conceived at that point it might be positive. The tests rely on hormones created by the new embryo/placental mass. It takes for sperm to reach a fertile egg & go through the process of forming a conception if timing is right. A fraction of conceptions do not attach & are shed before they complete the process.
