Unclear: Stinging or pain in your ear that goes away with swallowing is often caused by changes in pressure, such as when you're on an airplane. It can also happen if you have inflammation in your upper airways, such as when you have a cold, or could be due to an inner ear infection. However, it's not clear the association with alcohol, or why it's once in a while. It's worth getting your ears checked.

Eustachian Tube : Irritation can be the cause, this tube connects the middle ear to the throat to equalize the pressure on both sides of the ear drum, at times with throat congestion for any reason , its opening at the throat side gets inflammed, alcohol is an irritant, so you may feel the sting, if keeps recurring or bothersome see your doctor,

No alcohol: Alcohol is a poison that never did anybody any good, ever, so stay away from it. Have a healthy diet, exercise 30 minutes/day, drink plenty of water, have safe sex, no tobacco alcohol weed or street drugs. For nutrition: http://www.choosemyplate.gov/.
