External Hemorroids: Externals Hemorrhoids can be very painful. Without any medication, the best way to reduce their size is to increase the amount of fiber in your diet to make your stools soft. Creams/Suppositories such as Preparation H may be helpful. If these do not believe the symptoms, you should follow up with your doctor to have it examined, as they sometimes require surgery to be removed.
