A member asked:

How long before marriage and ttc should one stop retin a applied only on frown lines between eyebrows?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Hard to be specific: Topical retin-a is considered a category C risk during pregnancy, meaning they have little or no data to form an opinion. This and other medications applied to normal skin surfaces are not absorbed into your blood in a significant amount, making it much less of a danger than ingested meds (Cat D). I suspect if you just stop using it when you use no birth control you will be fine.
