Age 55 pregnancy: As long as you have a period even in the peri-menopausal time frame you can get pregnant. Alternatively it may be menopause. But would follow up with ob and get blood HCG and ultrasound.

Blood HCG level: If you did the test correctly at 55 days past your last period and the result was negative, you are not pregnant. You may get a blood test for HCG level to settle the issue. At this stage, if you were pregnant, fetus would be delectable by ultrasound as well.
