i get a very sharp pain in what i think may be my uterus whenever i urinate when i'm on my period (and only then) . do you know what it could be?

Pain: Urinary pain during menses is likely due to the menses. See if using Naproxyn twice daily starting before and extending through the menses helps. Outside of menses it could mean a uti.
