My new born is on breast milk. he has diarrhea now. should i continue breasfeeding as i am experiencing stomach cramps myself. it could be something i ate. what can i give him, he is 5 days old. please help.

Yes: Breast milk is the best oral fluid for a baby with loose stools or diarrhea. Breastfed babies can have a loose smear every time they feed as a normal event. If he is having large volumes of stool you can supplement with an oral hydration fluid as need to keep the kid wetting at least every 6 hrs.
