What are differences between toric lenses and regular glasses for (nearsightedness) ?

Correct astigmatism: Regular lens have one power to correct near sighted or far sightedness, but toric lens are shaped differently and have correction in two areas: one for near/far sightedness, and the other a rotational or astigmatism correction. Toric lens are available as contacts and for lens implant after cataract correction as well.
