Yeast infections: The itching once the ovule is inserted may come from the yeast infection itself, and discharge onto the vulva can often cause itching. If this continues, ask your gyn physician to try a different anti-fungal medication.

Rarely: However, if it seems to make your itching worse, this could the case, also could be that something other than a yeast infection is present, so best to consult your doctor to be sure you are getting correct treatment, and possibly not making things worse.
